Performer: Tenebrae

Tenebrae transforms the Elbphilharmonie into a living instrument, exploring centuries of choral music through spatialised sound, Pärt’s tintinnabuli, Renaissance masterpieces and contemporary innovations in a vivid acoustic experiment.

In an evening pairing two English classics, Sir Antonio Pappano conducts the London Symhony Orchestra in Elgar’s Violin Concerto and an out-of-this-world account of Holst’s The Planets. 

Composer and songwriter, choral singer and cellist, this artist of many faces tells us about her career and her first large scale opera, Three Lunar Seas, premiering in May in Avignon.
