Join Durham University Orchestral Society's Chamber Orchestra for the society's first concert of the year bringing a vibrant programme of Poulenc, Mendelssohn and Mozart to Durham's historic St Oswald's Church.

Join conductor Zac Smith's debut performance and the Durham University Orchestral Society Chamber Orchestra for an evening of vibrant music spanning three centuries of European tradition. From Mozart’s dazzling Magic Flute Overture to Mendelssohn’s enchanting Midsummer Night’s Dream - including the iconic Wedding March - this programme celebrates some of the most beloved music ever written for the stage. Finalist Madeleine Jablonowska takes centre stage in Mozart’s radiant Clarinet Concerto, and the concert culminates with Poulenc’s witty Sinfonietta, brimming with sparkling neoclassical brilliance.
