One of the most influential pianists of the 21st century plays music by Fauré, Schumann and Chopin.
Superstar pianist Lang Lang performs the solo piano version of one of Fauré’s most popular works, followed by Schumann’s eight-movement masterpiece – a staple of the Romantic repertoire that the composer once called his favourite. The evening culminates in music by Chopin, including a selection of his mazurkas in which he took Polish folk traditions and made them his own.
