100 Jahre Gebäude der Stiftung Mozarteum. Anlässlich dieses Jubiläums wurde das Eröffnungskonzert des Hauses von 1914 rekonstruiert. Wirft man einen Blick auf das Programm, ist der Inhalt im zeitlichen Kontext nicht ganz unproblematisch zu betrachten. Künstlerisch gab es beim Festkonzert der Stiftung jedoch alle Mal etwas zu feiern.

Il rè pastore was the last operatic work that Mozart completed before Idomeneo, and though there is a clear shift in style and level of achievement in the six years that separate them, it is very interesting to compare the 19-year-old composer to the later operatic master that we are more familiar with.

Ian Page and the Classical Opera Company have made a specialty of performing early Mozart operas and at the weekend, they gave two performances of his two-act serenata, Il re pastore as part of the series “Mozart Unwrapped” at Kings Place.
