A very welcome visit from the Paris Opera Junior Ballet to the Linbury Theatre displays the company in a very favourable light, in a variety of works.

Two years after the death of Patrick Dupond, the Paris Opera Ballet paid tribute to him in a sumptuous gala evening, with the procession of the Ballet’s stars and the the performance of three of Dupond’s most emblematic works.

Rudolf Nureyev was born in 1938 and died in 1993, making 2013 the 75th anniversary of his birth and the 20th of his death. English National Ballet have cause to be deeply grateful to Nureyev: he gave them (in their previous incarnation as London Festival Ballet) their popular Romeo and Juliet, and lent his box-office appeal as a principal dancer to numerous other productions.

Vendredi 8 janvier 2016, Pierre Henry présentait à la Philharmonie 2 sa vision de "maintenant et demain". Au programme : une création, relevant du langage bruitiste, forçant le spectateur à adopter un nouveau type d'écoute ; et un remix de sa célèbre Messe pour le temps présent, dansé sur scène. Une soirée des plus insolites !
