Three aspects of fate were on display in this intriguing combination of the new, the less familiar and the unashamedly popular given by the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra under its chief conductor.

Gustavo Gimeno conducted the Cleveland Orchestra in a colorful program inclusive of a pair of Spanish works, Stravinsky’s Firebird, and the Lalo Cello Concerto with soloist Johannes Moser.

A fabulous Three-Cornered Hat followed by a ravishing Concierto de Aranjuez is side-tracked by an enigmatic El Amor brujo.

Une petite heure avant le récital qu'il va donner à l'Abbaye de Silvacane, Luiz Fernando Pérez repasse une partie du programme espagnol qu'il va bientôt offrir au public qui occupera le déambulatoire. Vide, ce lieu mi-clos, résonne encore bien davantage que quand les 380 sièges sont occupés.

L’Histoire du Soldat et L’Amour Sorcier mis en dialogue par les Musiciens du Louvre Grenoble, Marc Minkowski et Olivia Ruiz. Une mise en scène et un engagement chorégraphique qui ne peuvent pas mieux rendre hommage à Stravinski et Manuel de Falla.
