Khanh Nhi Luong, Bronze Medallist at the 2024 Leeds International Piano Competition, offers an arresting programme for her Wigmore Hall debut recital. The Vietnamese pianist contrasts the haunting lyricism of Schubert’s A major Piano Sonata with Kate Whitley’s pithy Piano Pieces, and prefaces Dutilleux’s highly distinctive Piano Sonata with the concentrated emotions of late Brahms.
