Tabea Zimmermann aura offert au Victoria Hall la création d’un concerto du genevois Michael Jarrell de toute beauté, ainsi qu’un Debussy ourlé de mille couleurs sous la direction d’un Pascal Rophé inspiré. On aura regretté un Stravinski un peu en deçà et décousu qui aura certainement fait les frais de la préparation de la création.

L’Orchestre de la Suisse Romande sous la baguette de Jonathan Nott aura relevé le défi d’un Schoenberg coloré et éruptif et l’Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne quant à lui aura desservi un Schubert d’une incarnation terne de la Messe en mi bémol majeur : dommage. 

Les attentes du concert d’intronisation de Jonathan Nott à la tête de l’Orchestre de la Suisse Romande auront certainement un peu pesé sur un concert qui fut bon dans l’ensemble mais ne décollera jamais vraiment. Wait and see…

Pour clôturer la saison, le théâtre du Bolshoï donne sa version de la Damnation de Faust de Berlioz, avec la complicité du metteur en scène allemand Peter Stein. Version respectueuse du livret et de la partition, qui cherche la beauté et la force expressive avant tout.
