Bizet, Ravel et La Tragédie de Salomé de Florent Schmitt à l’honneur au Festival Musique française

Étoiles d’un soir, les solistes de l’Orchestre de Paris dévoilaient ce jeudi leurs infinies couleurs, dans un programme bigarré dédié à la musique de ballet.  

Difficile de reprocher à cette entrée en matière une quelconque prévisibilité. Loin des passages obligés, du « grand » répertoire et des pages viennoises auxquelles s’attelle plus volontiers le Philharmonique en ce mouvementé début de saison, l’ONF se restreint avec ce concert d’ouverture à la musique française.

In Miami, Isabel Leonard bewitches in Ravel’s Shéhérazade, while Stéphane Denève and the New World Symphony conjure up atmospherics galore in Roussel and Schmitt ballet scores.
