The Brandenburg Choral Festival is an enormous endeavour, with hundreds of concerts all over London, featuring all kinds of choral music and a diverse range of performers. Pegasus Choir's debut at the Brandenburg Festival is a success

Even at 9.20 on a cold Thursday evening in January, there were queues out the door to hear the Pegasus Choir’s debut at the Brandenburg Choral Festival. Vivamus impress with Britten and Whitacre at Brandenburg Choral Festival

After the overload of concerts and carol singing around Christmas, most choirs have a well-deserved break before starting for another year, but not Vivamus. Canticum and Southbank Sinfonia light up St Martin-in-the-Fields

The two masses in this intriguing and very enjoyable programme made a thought-provoking contrast. Stravinsky was anxious that his mass be cold – indeed, as the bass singer Simon Scott Plummer’s useful programme notes told us, he wanted the music ‘very cold, absolutely cold, that will appeal directly to the spirit.

An Enchanting Evening of Mozart by Candlelight

A landmark in Trafalgar Square, St Martin-in-the-Fields was London’s first free-lending library, is home to one of the world’s foremost chamber ensembles (The Academy of St Martin in the Fields), and puts on hundreds of classical music concerts each year.
