Danielle Gabou is in residence at the Théâtre National de Chaillot this week with Transe, a multi-faceted, ambiguous, and thought-provoking production. Julien Ficely’s choreography, for solo female dancer, draws inspiration from Jean Rouch’s 1956 film Mammy Water, and extracts of the documentary itself form the backdrop for this performance.

Dans un dispositif quadrifrontal, huit danseurs – dont le chorégraphe portugais fait partie – se déchaînent absolument sans réserve pendant une heure pleine et transmettent au spectateur une flamme rare et précieuse.

Chaillot présente un programme Preljocaj avec trois œuvres pour des duos issus du Ballet Preljocaj. Annonciation et Un trait d'union font un peu d'ombre au ballet le plus ancien, Larmes blanches.
