Hugo Marchand curated and performed in an essentially French mixed bill along with Dorothée Gilbert, Léonore Baulac and Germain Louvet from Paris Opéra and the excellent ensemble of Béjart Ballet Lausanne.

All that glistens... the world premiere of Xie Xin’s The Moon in the Ocean is the highlight of a mixed bill programme spanning 90 years of choreography.

Angelin Preljocaj's Gravity triumphed on opening night in New York despite official cock-up.

A perfect triple bill became a less perfect quadruple bill. Brilliant performances by dancers from Gibney, kNoname Artist, Paris Opera étoiles rarely seen in New York and – a rarity these days – live musicians.

Le Parc but is masterful in evoking the sensuous world of the 18th century and it's a major achievement for the Lithuanian National Ballet.

An evening of sparkle and bravura at London's international ballet gala.

In La Fresque, Preljocaj’s modern twist arises from creating this work in 2016, at a time when the Pokémon Go craze was at its height.

The long-awaited first creation of the Franco-Albanian choreographer for La Scala Ballet Company inexplicably fails to resonate emotionally with Schubert's masterpiece.

This program was a good one to inspire your confidence about the future of choreography.

I definitely recommend Empty Moves but you have to come to it with an open mind, ready to see something completely different.

In order to really take you somewhere a performance has to open a window to another, higher plane of existence. This is that show.

Angelin Preljocaj's sublime Le Parc is performed again by the Mariinsky Theatre, with Diana Vishneva leading the company in this ode to love.

It can be said that New York offers arts enthusiasts an embarrassment of riches. It’s a veritable cultural Mecca.

Forget those Disney scenes of cuddly little dwarves hi-ho-ing home, and cute woodland creatures whistling while they work. Another version of the Snow White fairy-tale can be seen this week at Sadlers Wells Theatre and it’s one on which to build new memories.
