Malgré une proposition alléchante, Preljocaj ne convainc pas autant avec son Mythologies morcelé en plusieurs histoires que dans ses chorégraphies habituelles, plus abstraites ou plus condensées.

Au Théâtre de la Ville, le Ballet Preljocaj réunit au sein d'une même soirée Helikopter (créé en 2001 sur une musique de Stockhausen) et une nouveauté de 2025 en hommage au compositeur allemand.

C'est la première mise en scène d'opéra du chorégraphe Angelin Preljocaj et ce coup d'essai est un absolu coup de maître, rehaussé par la direction de Leonardo García Alarcón.

Angelin Preljocaj a créé Gravité en 2018 et après une longue attente pour le découvrir aux Gémeaux en raison de la pandémie, c’est une joie de voir le théâtre afficher complet pour l'accueillir !

Créé par Angelin Preljocaj sur la musique de Schubert, Winterreise met à l'honneur les danseurs du Ballet Preljocaj au Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, suscitant beaucoup d'émotions.

Dans son Roméo et Juliette, Preljocaj propose une relecture du mythe fondée sur la violence ; violence de l'habitat, violence sociétale, violence dans la manière d'aimer, qui débouche sur la mort... Une proposition qui pourrait être intéressante mais peine à convaincre dans sa globalité. 

Le Ballet Preljocaj présente son magnifique Roméo et Juliette à Paris. 

Au-delà des gestes, magistralement interprétés, on aimerait retrouver un peu de cette magie qui habite le mouvement,  fait l' âme de la danse. Angelin Preljocaj refuse ici ce voyage, nous ramenant vers le quotidien, et les gestes purs. On adhère ou non à cette vision de la danse.
