Mozart will be at the heart of the traditional recreation Christmas concert as father Leopold invites us to come along on a sleigh ride while his son Wolfgang enchants us with a magnificent symphony. Christian Binde demonstrates what can be conjured from a natural horn thanks to Mozart, and Kristiina Poska makes sure that the Christmas kitsch doesn’t gain the upper hand in Tchaikovsky’s “Mozartiana”. As First Kapellmeister at the Komische Oper Berlin, the young Estonian is skilled in all the nuances in style, a talent which won her the “Deutsche Dirigentenpreis” award in 2013.
