For their second Carnegie Hall programme, The Cleveland Orchestra tackles Fate in Stravinsky's Petrushka and Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony.

Mixing American and Russian classics, Slatkin articulated the structural design of the works and delivered their emotional essence.

Paul Jacobs was soloist in Bernd Richard Deutsch’s Okeanos, which made a strong impression. Haydn’s Symphony No. 34 in D minor and Tchaikovsky’s indestructible Symphony No. 5 filled out this outstanding program.
