A rare outing for Lili Boulanger's D'un matin de printemps lay at the dewy centre of this spring–summer seasonal programme.  

Royal Northern Sinfonia welcomed their new chamber pianist in residence, Alisdair Beatson, with some brilliantly imaginative programming.

To works by Mendelssohn and Schumann, Søndergård added music by two impressive female composers who died far too young and whose works are far less known than they should be, Lili Boulanger and Morfydd Owen. 

Conductor JoAnn Falletta, violinist Alexi Kenney and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra offer up vibrant and vital interpretations of Boulanger, Mozart and Brahms.

Mardi 15 et mercredi 16 juillet, les concerts donnés à 18h dans la Salle Pasteur du Corum étaient consacrés aux compositrices pionnières. Les interprètes ont pris plaisir à sortir de l’ombre des œuvres méconnues, à la beauté inédite : une excellente initiative doublée d’une réalisation impeccable.
