Le nouveau Nabucco genevois est assez peu original scéniquement mais sa réussite musicale lui vaut de remporter un très grand succès public.

Le baryton apporte une noblesse rare au rôle-titre de l'opéra de Verdi, présenté en conclusion de la saison lyrique à l'Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège.

Roberto De Simone's staging evokes a fabulous out-of-time China, and perfectly accompanies the majesty of Puccini’s last and unfinished opera. De Simone chooses to stop the opera at the point of Puccini's death, without Franco Alfano's finale.
