Soirée Tchaïkovski contrastée au Théâtre des Champs-Élysées: Temirkanov et l'Orchestre de Saint-Pétersbourg brillent dans une éclatante Symphonie n° 5, après un bien terne Concerto pour violon dans l'ombre de Julia Fischer.

Il fallait bien la solidité technique et la richesse expressive, rares, de l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Saint-Pétersbourg, alliées au brio et à l’élégance d’un Berezovsky en très grande forme, pour sublimer ces deux substances au détriment d’aucune. Un grand concert !

Le 26 avril, le Philharmonia Orchestra proposait sous la baguette de Youri Temirkanov un beau programme Rimsky-Korsakov/Rachmaninov/Dvořák, avec Daniil Trifonov au piano. Si le jeune soliste a déployé tout son génie, l’orchestre pourtant d’un très bon niveau n’a pas été aussi convaincant.

En la primera cita de 2020 de Ibermúsica se presentaron la legendaria Filarmónica de San Petersburgo, con quien es su director desde 1988, Yuri Temirkanov y el joven pianista Behzod Abduraimov para el Concierto de piano núm. 1 de Tchaikovsky y la Cuarta sinfonía de Brahms.

La Filarmónica de San Petersburgo se presentó de la mano de Ibermúsica, ambos mantienen una relación de ya 46 años que únicamente se explica al socaire de la preocupación por ofrecer música (especialmente la que comparte denominación de origen) con el mayor cuidado y al más alto nivel.

La Filarmónica de San Petersburgo, dirigida por el sempiterno Yuri Temirkanov, se presentó en Madrid con un programa de obras del repertorio clásico, obras que gustan a todo: el Concierto de violín de Brahms y la Cuarta de Tchaikovsky. A Temirkanov le basta con dirigirse al podio con paso sereno, pero resuelto, para que uno se haga una idea de lo que está a punto de acontecer. Este no va a ser un concierto cualquiera.

After hearing three exhilarating and razor-sharp Philharmonia concerts this season under Esa-Pekka Salonen and Jakub Hrůša, this performance with regular guest conductor Yuri Temirkanov felt decidedly “Old School”.

Temirkanov reicht eine auf das Wesentliche reduzierte Gestik, um einen Klang zu schaffen, dessen Homogenität auf unübertroffene Weise ausbalanciert ist.
