Retour sur un programme en forme de rencontre inspirante entre Ravel et de Falla, dans une ville française imprégnée de culture espagnole, Toulouse, accueillant un chef et un pianiste ibériques !

En ouverture du festival basque, la formation sur instruments d'époque a fait merveille sous la direction de Pierre Bleuse dans un programme intégralement ravélo-espagnol.

Les deux pianistes font preuve d'une synchronisation sans faille et d'une belle complicité dans un récital riche en évocations.

Remplaçant au pied levé Riccardo Chailly, Gustavo Gimeno dirige un florilège ravélien élégant mais un peu sage, pour le concert de rentrée de l'Orchestre de Paris.

Tandem désormais rodé, Josep Pons et Javier Perianes se retrouvaient à Toulouse pour le premier concert de l’année aux côtés de l’ONCT. Une très belle rentrée, pleine d’optimisme.

Les Siècles explorent l’œuvre de l’orchestrateur Ravel à la Philharmonie : entre Shéhérazade et les Tableaux d'une exposition, on se délecte des couleurs exotiques... plus convaincantes que celles de Kandinsky.

Dutoit a embarqué le Royal Philarmonic de Londres dans un délice de musiques ravéliennes portées aux nues. On se souviendra longtemps de cette belle soirée à Montreux qui, envoûtée par des musiques si solaires, se transforma, le temps d’un concert, en sublime rivage méditerranéen. 

Les attentes du concert d’intronisation de Jonathan Nott à la tête de l’Orchestre de la Suisse Romande auront certainement un peu pesé sur un concert qui fut bon dans l’ensemble mais ne décollera jamais vraiment. Wait and see…

Pour un des derniers concerts de la saison, l’ONCT affichait un programme entièrement français et s’attachait à la filiation entre Maurice Ravel et Henri Dutilleux.
