Vaughan Williams’ Sea Symphony is a highlight of the  London Symphony Orchestra’ s programme which also includes Vilde Frang excelling in Korngold. 

The Scottish Chamber Orchestra perform Fauré moving Requiem and Vaughan Williams Mystical Songs with the SCO Chorus and Roderick Williams. 

Sir James MacMillan conducts the BBC Scottish SO in the Scottish premiere of his Concerto for Orchestra, “Ghosts”. 

An evening of Vaughan Williams’ greatest hits? There’s always an appetite for that, as Andrew Manze and the Hallé prove at Sheffield City Hall. 

Ensemble 360’s Music in the Round concert is a homage to the 20th-century English industrialist Walter Willson Cobbett... and also to the enduring popularity of The Lark Ascending. 

The programme featured Sibelius's vividly terrifying Tapiola, alongside a gorgeous Four Last Songs with Elizabeth Llewellyn and Vaughan Williams's wistful Fifth Symphony.
