An ongoing collaboration between pianist Boris Giltburg and the Pavel Haas Quartet stays fresh and fearless at the Rudolfinum.

An evening of Hausmusik as friends gather to celebrate the birthday of one of the UK's finest pianists at Wigmore Hall. 

The streamed concert showed the Aurora players' prowess as chamber musicians, joined by the excellent Swiss pianist in music by Mozart, Ravel and a specially commissioned new work by Sasha Scott.

A case of musical minds being in particularly close interpretative sync, revealing the music not through showy display but through restrained but intense concentration.

Ravel, Mendelssohn and youthful Shostakovich form a varied programme for this starry trio. 

Mixed performances from this well-known ensemble, but overall fine playing that showcased the genius of Haydn and beauty of Frank Bridge.

The Garth Newel Piano Quartet presented a "French Feast" of delectable chamber works by Ravel, Chausson and Florent Schmitt that was a gastronomical as well as musical triumph.

As part of the Philharmonia's City of Light series, the Gould Trio performed two Impressionist Piano Trios around two contrasting French Duos.

What a treat to discover the 1901 Arts Club  and to be treated to such an intimate and enjoyable evening of music making with the Erato Piano Trio and friends. 

The Toronto Summer Music Festival’s opening concert made the audience very happy with a program of piano trios heavily weighted towards lamentation. Gabriel Fauré composed his Op. 120 trio in retirement while oppressed by old age, total deafness and bouts of bronchial pneumonia, but he makes his misery sing.

It’s rare to be at a concert, of any genre, and to experience a very profound sense of involvement on the part of the performers, combined with total commitment to the music, both in terms of fidelity to the written score and integrity of performance.

Accompagné ou non du splendide Pavel Haas Quartet, Boris Giltburg fait merveille dans Debussy, Ravel et Franck.

À l'Opéra de Nice, Vera Novakova (violon), Zela Terry (violoncelle) et Maki Miura-Belkin (piano) proposent un concert énergique en trio.

Aux Sommets musicaux de Gstaad, Renaud et Gautier Capuçon étaient accompagnés de Jean-Yves Thibaudet pour deux chefs-d'œuvre du trio avec piano. 

La Philharmonie de Paris rassemble Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Lisa Batiashvili et Gautier Capuçon pour trois trios légendaires : le Trio n° 1 de Chostakovitch, celui de Ravel et le Trio n° 2 de Mendelssohn.

Dimanche 14 février, le Trio Wanderer jouait le seul trio écrit par Ravel et le plus connu des trios de Schubert au Théâtre des Champs-Elysées. Une matinée agréable, malgré un Schubert qu'on aurait aimé un peu plus intense.

Pour le concert d'ouverture de la quatrième édition, Audrey Vigoureux et Marc Perrenoud - pianistes et codirecteurs artistiques du festival - se sont entourés de musiciens de grande qualité pour défendre leur projet devant un public conquis.
