Il ne faut pas avoir peur du vide pour se lancer ainsi, à corps perdu, dans l’arène géante du Royal Albert Hall, surtout avec une première partie, Desenne et Villa-Lobos, si peu consistante. Sauvés par Ravel… La musique, Dudamel la fait à l’esbroufe, poussant le Simon Bolivar à ses limites de puissance et de vélocité.

Au programme du Prom 15 : la première britannique d'Iris dévoilée, pièce de Qigang Chen, précédée par la Symphonie n°1 de Prokofiev et suivie par la Symphonie n°2 de Rachmaninov. De la très belle musique, délectable malgré une interprétation du BBC NOW manquant parfois d'ardeur.

Dimanche 26 juillet 2015, le Prom 12 était le 3ème et dernier concert du marathon Beethoven donné par Leif Ove Andsnes et le Mahler Chamber Orchestra. Au programme, les Concertos n°2 et 5 du grand maître. Une soirée jouissive, rayonante de joie.

Au programme du Prom 9, jeudi 23 juillet 2015 : les concertos pour piano n°1 et 4 de Beethoven, et Apollon Musagète de Stravinsky. Une superbe aventure musicale, dont on attend la suite avec impatience !

Lundi 20 juillet se tenait au Royal Albert Hall le “Prom 5”. Au programme : une symphonie de Haydn, une création de HK Gruber et le ballet Petrouchka de Stravinsky, joués par le BBC Philharmonic et le percussionniste Colin Currie placés sous la baguette de John Storgårds. Une soirée agréable, mais pas incroyable.

Devant un public euphorique, le West-Eastern Divan Orchestra a célébré la musique hispanisante dans un concert festoyant, sous la baguette bienveillante de Daniel Barenboim.
