Dirigé par Julien Chauvin sans violon pour l'occasion, l'oratorio de Haydn a bénéficié des qualités habituelles du Concert de la Loge mais sans le souffle, l'exaltation, l'originalité qu'on aurait pu attendre. 

Dans la merveilleuse église de Saanen, le chef d'orchestre italien a dirigé une interprétation exceptionnelle du chef-d'œuvre de Haydn, avec un orchestre, des chœurs et des solistes au sommet.

Limpidité, modération, expressivité : c’est à cette trinité de principes qu'a semblé se vouer le chef, à la tête d'une très belle interprétation de l'oratorio de Haydn à Montréal.

Dans le grand oratorio de Haydn, Philippe Herreweghe préfère le détachement aux effets spectaculaires. Mari Eriksmoen, Florian Boesch et Patrick Grahl font un formidable trio vocal.

Une réussite sur toute la ligne pour La Création de Haydn, avec les Violons du Roy et la Chapelle de Québec sous la direction du chef Jonathan Cohen, qui a valu aux spectateurs des moments d'une beauté presque irréelle.

Une bien belle soirée qui mit Haydn à l'honneur sous la direction magnifique de Gabor Takacs-Nagy qui fut l'architecte bienveillant d'une équipe superlative.

Depuis leur intégrale Beethoven, qui avait obtenu à Paris un succès considérable, nous n’avions pas eu l’occasion de reparler des Berliner Philharmoniker. Ultime étape de leur tournée d’adieu avec Sir Simon Rattle, la Philharmonie accueillait de nouveau ce dimanche la phalange berlinoise.
