Au lever du rideau, un homme tout de blanc vêtu nous regarde, pensif, avant ses noces. On découvre alors toute la sobriété octroyée au personnage d’Orphée et à l’ensemble de l’opéra par la metteuse en scène, Jetske Mijnssen. Une production radieuse et réussie de l'Orfeo de Rossi, œuvre qui, loin d’être une curiosité historique, mérite toute sa place dans le répertoire baroque.
