Esa-Pekka Salonen et Benjamin Millepied ont uni musique et danse dans un beau programme où le Rituel in memoriam Bruno Maderna de Pierre Boulez a pris une dimension supplémentaire.

Sous la baguette d'un chef attentif aux équilibres et aux transitions, l'orchestre londonien brille et passe de Boulez à Benjamin puis Brahms en toute souplesse.

L'orchestre et son directeur musical ont servi un programme gastronomique et copieux, reliant dans un même geste Boulez, Debussy, Poulenc et Ravel.
