Trio de Ravel et Concerto de Schumann avec Lucas Debargue, double récital de Beatrice Berrut et Florian Noack, Concerto n° 2 de Brahms avec Jonathan Fournel : retour sur un festival à la programmation riche et variée.

Après un premier concert Brahms-Dvořák décevant, John Eliot Gardiner a récidivé, plombant un Philhar' méconnaissable dans la Symphonie n° 7 de Dvořák. Alexandre Kantorow a fait ce qu'il a pu, en vain.

Invités à Paris pour la deuxième fois en moins de six mois, les Wiener Philharmoniker et Jakub Hrůša ont montré leur complicité et leur talent. Déception en revanche pour Igor Levit dans Brahms.

L'interprétation du Concerto n° 2 de Brahms restera dans les annales, tant pour la somptuosité pianistique que pour l'accompagnement exemplaire de l'orchestre dirigé par Lio Kuokman.

Du grand répertoire interprété par Adam Laloum et Anne Queffélec, mais pas que : La Roque d'Anthéron a proposé une remarquable ouverture à la musique d'aujourd'hui, notamment à celle de Gérard Pesson.

Le retour de la pianiste arménienne à Québec n’a pas été des plus heureux, avec un Concerto n° 2 de Brahms à la dérive. Le chef Fabien Gabel a partiellement sauvé la soirée avec un Bartók tonique. 

Deuxième soirée autour de Brahms, avec le piano royal de Nicholas Angelich. En première partie, une somptueuse Rhapsodie pour alto par Gerhild Romberger, avec les hommes de la Zürcher Sing-Akademie.

L'Orchestre de Chambre d'Europe et András Schiff se retrouvent à la Philharmonie autour de la Musique pour cordes, percussions et célesta de Bartók et du Concerto pour piano n°2 de Brahms. Un orchestre excellent, mais un pianiste qui semble avoir mal choisi son concerto.

Concert Mozart - Schnittke - Brahms, qui nous permet notamment d'entendre le concerto pour alto de Schnittke, oeuvre d'une incroyable richesse stylistique et expressive.

Hélène Grimaud était attendue les 17 et 19 septembre aux côtés de l’OnL dirigé par Léonard Slatikin à l’Auditorium de Lyon.
