Vendredi 1er avril 2016, Myung-Whun Chung revenait diriger l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France dont il a été le directeur musical pendant 15 ans. Au programme, le Triple Concerto de Beethoven et la Symphonie n°1 de Mahler. Un concert très appréciable, donné au profit de l’UNICEF.

C’est à une soirée beethovénienne que le public genevois fut convié, et malheureusement les entrées concertantes ne furent pas au niveau du plat de résistance… 

Le concert proposé par l’orchestre les Déconcertants et le trio Hélios fut un de ces concerts où la proximité physique, couplée à la spontanéité des musiciens, nous donne à entendre une musique brute, façonnée devant nous, qui s’impose et nous saisi, plus qu’elle ne se laisse entendre.

L’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France propose un cycle Beethoven/Berg dirigé par Daniel Harding, entouré de quatre solistes de renom. La soirée du 9 janvier réunissait trois œuvres très belles mais difficiles : une performance honorable sans être exceptionnelle.
