Remplaçant au pied levé Riccardo Chailly, Gustavo Gimeno dirige un florilège ravélien élégant mais un peu sage, pour le concert de rentrée de l'Orchestre de Paris.

Le Festival Ravel a accueilli l'Orchestre Français des Jeunes, dirigé par Fabien Gabel. Berlioz, Saint-Saëns et Stravinsky ont suscité l'enthousiasme de l'auditoire réuni dans l'église de Saint-Jean-de-Luz.

C'est une bulle d'oxygène, un espace d'humanité, de liberté, un enthousiasme contagieux, grisant, incandescent. Ce sont les Dissonances qui autour d'un programme Ravel nous laissent entendre une nouvelle manière de faire de la musique en orchestre.

Etaient réunies sur ce programme, trois grandes figures (Ravel, Holst, Adam) alliant l’invitation au voyage, une rythmique multiple et une innovation compositionnelle certaine.

Un beau marathon de musique française avec, en sommet de côte, le splendide "Tout un monde lointain" d'Henri Dutilleux et le non moins solaire Truls Mørk ! En écho aux influences françaises, s'est glissé un petit suisse contemporain, entre quelques pas de danse raveliens et une ondulation debussiste... 

Vendredi 18 juillet à 20h, sous la direction de Santtu-Matias Rouvali, l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France a interprété un programme consacré à Maurice Ravel.
